Captions People
Can Actually Read.

Your video goes in, a .srt file and a captioned copy come out - without an account or an internet connection.

What Is KBT Subtitle Studio?

KBT Subtitle Studio listens to your video and writes the subtitles: a .srt file you can upload, a copy with the captions burned in, or both. The speech model is installed with the app and runs on your own processor, so nothing is uploaded, nothing is charged per minute, and it works with the wifi off. Full source code included.

Core Features

Lines Short Enough to Read

Speech engines hand back whole sentences. Twenty words on screen for two seconds is why most auto-captioned videos are unwatchable. This one breaks at sentence ends, then at commas, then at words, and shares the timing by line length so the words stay under the voice.

Burned In, or Just the .srt

Take the captioned copy for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or the .srt for YouTube, which keeps the picture clean and makes the video searchable. One tick box decides.

Styled for Vertical Video

White, yellow, KBT orange or black on white, with text size and caption height as sliders, so the words clear whatever buttons the platform puts along the bottom.

Over 90 Languages

English is covered by the model in the installer. For other languages, choose the large model and the app downloads it once, on request - it is not dragged along in the installer for people who will never use it.

Nothing Leaves Your Computer

No sign-up, no API key, no credits, no per-minute billing, and no footage handed to a service that keeps it.

Questions Buyers Ask

How accurate is it?

Measured against narration whose script was known in advance, the installed model got about 97% of English words right, and the errors were the usual ones: a number, a brand name, colour versus color. Music, crosstalk, strong accents and phone-microphone audio all cost accuracy. The .srt is plain text, so fixing a line takes seconds.

How fast is it?

A 14-second clip took about 5 seconds end to end on an ordinary laptop, including re-encoding the video. Skip the burned-in copy and you get the .srt in a fraction of that.

Do I need an account or an API key?

No. The speech model is installed with the app and runs on your own processor. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing billed per minute.

Do my videos get uploaded anywhere?

No. They are read from your disk and written back to your Videos folder. The app works with the internet disconnected.

Which languages does it handle?

The engine knows over 90. English is excellent with the installed model; other languages need the larger model, which the app downloads once at your request. Translation goes into English only, and is weaker than transcription - read it before publishing.

Can I get subtitles without changing the video?

Yes. Turn off "burn the captions in" and you get only the .srt file, which YouTube and most platforms accept directly.

Can I put my own brand on the software?

Yes. The name, logo and colours live in one configuration file and the full source code is included; the README shows what to change.
